A community partnership approach will be established to address the rapidly growing issue of fly-tipping in the valley. Building on existing relationships between local authority partners, a combination of approaches will be used to increase the likelihood of offenders being caught, encouraging faster reporting and expediting the clearance of tip events.
Local communities will be provided with clearer advice on reporting mechanisms and photo evidence collection. A ‘Duty of Care’ campaign will communicate the actions being undertaken and provide a high-profile deterrent to offenders. We want local communities to feel that they have a part to play in reducing the incidence of fly tipping and engage more people to “Keep the Valley Beautiful!”
