Our Landscape On Course project aims to influence golf course management for the betterment of the Darent Valley and its river. We’ll engage with golf clubs in the valley to achieve this aim.

There are four golf courses in the Darent Valley. They cover a significant amount of land which can have big impacts on wider conservation aims. We’ll engage with and advise them on how they can adjust their land management with respect to the landscape character of the valley.

We will use the certification process associated with the Golf Environment Organisation to provide an industry standard mechanism for engaging clubs and achieving all-round benefits for the landscape, communities and golf.

Through this project we will improve the sustainability of each site we work with; we will work with clubs to reduce the chemical run-off to the river and improve the water management around the River Darent.

  • Working with golf clubs to improve land management
