Through this project we will connect with and support the volunteers of the local Butterfly Conservation branch to overcome rampant scrub encroachment across chalk grassland sites and subsequent loss of valuable habitat.

Our Flight of the Butterfly project will explore, develop and provide solutions for sustainable management of chalk grassland at White Hill Reserve, Shoreham. We will also establish new partnerships with other organisations tackling similar problems and work to improve connectivity with neighbouring Fackenden Down and Meadow sites.
