Our Wildlife for the People project aims to improve the wildlife potential and physical access to the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve.

In a time of mass biodiversity loss worldwide, there’s never been a more important time to encourage nature to flourish in our local areas. This project forms an integral part of Kent Wildlife Trust’s plan to improve the wildlife potential of the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve and to provide an enjoyable wildlife experience for families and experienced wildlife watchers alike.

Already 750m of path resurfacing has been completed and this path has created a new circular route around the lake for visitors. Bankside trees have been coppiced and new wetland habitat has been created around the lakes. This new habitat will help to encourage more wildlife to the reserve.

The reserve serves as a gateway to exploring the natural landscape of the Darent Valley and makes for an excellent day out in Kent.
